Cover Letter

Cordell Charles attends Harry S Truman High School. Cordell learned how to make a website with wix.com through this semester. He had tried before but had come up shorthanded, he finally successfully created his own website with Wix. Cordell already knew how to use photoshop and Adobe Premiere Premiere prior to this semester, he is in a class that teaches him how to use Premiere Pro and he teaches himself something new about it almost every day. Cordell taught himself how to use Photoshop by watching youtube tutorials. The process he went through to make his website was surprisingly easy, with the aid of his professors he made his website. He designed his website to showcase his work and have people know him.

 

The social issue of the group website is violence. It disrupts peace and equality. Gun violence is a major topic in communities. Different people have different opinions on gun laws themselves. Gun laws are different in different places. Violence is all around us as the social media us as the community live it. We see it everywhere, we breathe violence. It's most likely somethings that will never stop because our nation and other nations are constantly fighting over things like land and oil. Social justice is something very important in our world. Working for social justice is the greater good and it needs to exist in the whole world. We want peace, a world with no oppression or prejudice. Social justice is not only about equality, it's also about the right thing. Something I learned that activists or community members are doing to address the social issue is using media to their advantages. They are trying to spread the right messages with simple media related things such as hashtags. Hashtags are everywhere because they relate to any type of topics because they are custom.

The website our group made was good, It gave good information and presents a documentary on the social issue of violence. If we had more time, I don't know what I would change.

 

Based on this experience, He actually has learned a lot more on the social issue of violence. It made me realize how the present day media influences us and others more than we thought. He hopes to keep editing films and other types of videos and using what he learned to pursue my career and help others.
